By booking or attending a tour, pub crawl, event or service with Edinburgh Tour Guys you agree to the terms below. Please read them before you book.

1. Booking, Payments, and Pricing Models

Reservations: All bookings and reservations must be made in advance via our website (edinburghtourguys.com) or through an authorised third-party partner/reseller (such as GetYourGuide, Viator, TripAdvisor, etc.).
Third-Party Bookings: For bookings made through external platforms, your reservation is also subject to the terms, conditions and cancellation policies of the respective booking platform, alongside these company terms.
Pricing Models & Gratuities: Tours, events and services may operate under various pricing structures, including but not limited to upfront prepaid tickets, free reservations, pay-what-you-want, or tip-based models. For tip-based or voluntary contribution models, voluntary tips or gratuities are heavily encouraged at the conclusion of the experience to directly support the guides and operations.
Private & Group Bookings: Custom, private, school or corporate bookings may be subject to separate deposit requirements, minimum spends, or agreements issued at the time of booking.
Pricing & Merchandise: All paid prices for tours and merchandise are listed in GBP (£) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

Customer Cancellations (Paid Bookings): Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled start time of a paid booking will be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made after this window, or no-shows, will not be refunded.
Customer Cancellations (Free / Tip-Based / Non-Prepaid Bookings): If you are unable to attend a free, tip-based or non-prepaid booking, we kindly request that you cancel your reservation online or notify us as early as possible so your spot can be made available to other guests. Repeated no-shows may result in future booking restrictions.
Merchandise Returns: If merchandise is offered, refunds or exchanges are subject to inspection and must be requested within 14 days of purchase, provided items are unworn and in original condition.
Company Modifications & Cancellations: Edinburgh Tour Guys reserves the right to alter itineraries, change routes, substitute guides, change venues, or cancel any tour, event or service due to severe weather, safety concerns, venue closures, strikes, low attendance numbers, or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

Terrain & Venue Notice: Edinburgh features historic cobblestones, uneven surfaces, steep inclines, historic closes, stairs, underground vaults, dark spaces, and venues operating under strict local regulations that may include steps or limited structural modifications.
Mandatory Advance Communication: We want everyone to enjoy our experiences safely. If any participant has a disability, mobility impairment, medical condition or access requirement that may require special accommodation, assistance or pace adjustment on any tour or event, you MUST speak with our team or guide before booking or attending.

Guide Authority: Our guides and staff prioritise the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all guests. We reserve the right to deny participation in, or remove from, any tour, pub crawl, event or service any person whose conduct is deemed unruly, disruptive, offensive or a safety risk to themselves or others, without liability for a refund or compensation.
Pub Crawl & Alcohol Policy: For pub crawls and events involving alcohol, responsible drinking is strictly required. Participating venues and our guides reserve the right to refuse entry or service to anyone deemed excessively intoxicated or non-compliant with venue rules.
Higher-Risk Activities: Participation in activities involving historic underground vaults, ghost hunts, late-night outdoor routes or specialised environments carries inherent physical risks. Participants agree to strictly follow all safety instructions given by guides.

Personal Responsibility: Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings and physical safety at all times.
Blanket Liability Release: Edinburgh Tour Guys, its owners, employees, guides, independent contractors, partner venues, suppliers and third-party affiliates accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury, delay, illness or expense arising from participation in any tour, pub crawl, event or service, except where caused by proven company negligence.

Walking & Themed Tours: Generally family-friendly, though minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
Pub Crawls: Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Valid photographic ID (such as a passport or driving licence) is legally required by Scottish law and participating venues. Refunds will not be issued if a participant fails to provide valid proof of age.

All intellectual property, including but not limited to tour scripts, concepts, brand names, logos, website content and merchandise designs, remains the exclusive property of Edinburgh Tour Guys. Unauthorised reproduction, imitation or commercial use without express written licensing is strictly prohibited.

By attending our experiences, you consent to being photographed or filmed occasionally for promotional purposes (such as social media, marketing or our website). If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify your guide at the start of the tour.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, and any disputes relating to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
